- 1️⃣ Prepare the Dough
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt butter until mostly liquid but not too hot.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add vanilla extract and egg, mixing just until combined.
- 2️⃣ Mix the Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
- 3️⃣ Fold in the Chocolate
- Gently mix in chocolate chips and chunks for even distribution.
- 4️⃣ Shape & Bake
- Roll dough into 12 large balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, removing when edges are golden but centers appear slightly underbaked.
- 5️⃣ Cool & Enjoy
