Ingredients
2 cups whole milk ricotta cheese
1 large egg
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried)
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. In a medium mixing bowl, add the ricotta cheese and crack in the egg.
2. Stir until the egg is fully incorporated into the ricotta.
3. Add the grated Parmesan, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
4. Mix until smooth and uniform.
5. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
6. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use or layer directly into lasagna.
Notes
Use whole milk ricotta for the richest flavor.
Add a touch of lemon zest or nutmeg for extra brightness.
If your ricotta is watery, drain it with cheesecloth before mixing.
